What a wonderful time was had by all! Congratulations to the newly titled CGC Akitas and their owners. (Don't forget to send in the paperwork so that you get your official AKC certification!) Also, the donations from the CGC day have been designed to go to the Akita Club of America for a trophy donation in Obedience and Rally from the members of CRAA. Thank you everyone for your generosity and fellowship!
upcoming july 25th, 2010 akita hike
CRAA member Rebecca has planned a hike for us. She writes: "Hi everyone! Please save the date for a fun day of hiking with your Akita! We will meet at Lower Macleay Park in Portland on July 25th at 9 a.m. This is a beautiful, fairly easy hike (a few hills, but not too bad) that has some very beautiful scenery. I think it is about 2 miles. There are picnic benches so we can bring back sack lunches for after the hike. I hope to see everyone there! Sorry for the early hour, but I am assuming it will be hot that day and we don't want the dogs to overheat in the afternoon sun. I will send out directions and more details as the date gets closer. In case you're curious, you can check out the two web links below for reviews and info about the location."
